James Cameron’s a movie thought you missed.
James Cameron, a wonderful director, first became popular among us through the movie Titanic. But we didn’t know much about which boys in those days, films like Aliens and Terminator were his directorial creations.
Later, he again drives us crazy in the movie Avatar. In his own words, Avatar has had that copy for 10 years, until the technology was developed to make it. That means he has a pretty good vision and he has a great understanding of creating that vision from a movie.
Today we are going to tell you about another masterpiece of this magician who dreams of us. It was the 1989 film The Abyss. The Abyss is also a masterpiece of science fiction. In a time when computer animation was not as advanced as it was in 1989, the way the film was made with conventional visual effects is hard to believe. This is probably why the film won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
The story is about a group of diving miners drilling a mine at the request of the government. They want to find out about a nuclear submarine that was malfunctioning due to a technical fault.
They find a submarine, but in that environment, they find a group of people they never even dreamed of. A group of aliens. The rest of the movie flows with the stories and the happenings of those creatures. Eventually it begins a chain of events that is the focus of the whole world.
Here you can see a glimpse of the actors Ed Harris, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Michael Biehn.
Definitely worth checking out if missed. James Cameron is one of the best movie to ever understand.
